Welcome 3rd grade students and parents!!

Welcome to my 3rd grade class!  My name is Rosalyn Kizzie, and I will be your child’s teacher for the 2016-2017 school year.  I am so pleased that your child will be in my class.  We can look forward to a year of growth and learning.  The main focus of 3rd grade is Reading and Math to prepare them for the STAAR test. This year will be a challenging one for your children as compared to last year, however, I will try to make the classes more interesting as well as easier, so that each child understands as well as enjoy themselves.  This will be the first year your child will be switching classes. I am responsible for Math while my partner teacher Nicola Easterling is responsible for Reading and Megan Newman is responsible for Science/Writing. We all teach social studies to our homeroom.

I would like to tell you a little about myself.  I have been teaching for 6 years all have been at C. C. Hardy.  I grew up and went through the Willis Independent School District myself. I graduated from the University of Houston and am proud to be back home and a part of a wonderful school district.

I am so excited to be a part of your child’s life and watch them learn and grow with me. Please feel free to email me rkizzie@willisisd.org or write a note to me whenever you have any questions or concerns. Your child’s education is a partnership between home and school.

I look forward to working with you and your child this year.
